Nathan Sarvis is a massage therapist licensed by the state of Texas since 2012..

Nathan worked for 22 years as an educator in elementary schools in Texas, teaching first and second grade in the Fort Worth, Denton, and Ponder school districts. On retiring from teaching, he went back to school at the Institute of Bodywork Studies in Flower Mound to receive training as a massage therapist. He completed his studies and internship, passed the state board exam, was licensed, and began his practice in 2012.

Nathan is assisted by Sherry, his wife of 48 years, also a retired school teacher, who taught in Denton and Sanger, Texas. Recognizing that some, particularly single females, might be uncomfortable visiting a male therapist alone in the country, Sherry makes it a point to always be on site when Nathan provides massages.

The Sarvises have three adult children and five grandchildren. They have served as foster parents for 13 children and are active members of Denton Bible Church where they served for many years as Sunday school teachers for special needs children, In addition, Nathan runs a website, www.music-folk-play-hymns.com which provides sheet music, tab, instruction, and and other resources for those who play, or wish to learn to play, hymns on musical instruments such as guitar, banjo, autoharp, ukulele, and mandolin.
